Festival attendance important for youth theatre participants to see the work of their peers. These events give young people the opportunity to see what is possible and inspire new thinking and activity, for young people and artists to bring back to their sessions.
- Focussed specifically on youth theatre practise & professionalising the Sector
- Present New/Innovative and/or high quality performance.
- Has a national scope and also, where possible, international interest or ambition.
- Takes place regularly, not just a one-off event.
- Festivals which offer more than just viewing a performance, workshops, sector development events, training (both for young people and leaders) should also be included.
