what is the buzz network?

Leading arts organisations from Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Belgium and Germany have been awarded funding from the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union to cross-pollinate youth theatre practice across the continent for the first time.

Called the BUZZ Network, the organisations have joined forces to share knowledge, skills, contacts and resources across seas and borders, establishing a new network for collaboration and development.

Jump into our website and find out more about the work we are planning, get involved by joining the map or apply for one of our BUZZ Labs when recruitment opens again in 2021.

The site is new and we’d love to hear your feedback, so please send on any thoughts or suggestions you have to buzz@ytas.org.uk. We’ll be continuing to update new case studies, companies and events so let us know if there is anything we shouldn’t miss out!

Training Labs

During the project, the BUZZ Network will deliver multinational training events for youth theatre practitioners, engaging over 100 professionals from around twenty European countries.

These workshops will bring together artists and leaders from all across Europe to develop their practise and learn from their peers, building a strong network of contemporary youth theatre makers.

Mapping

Alongside training, the BUZZ Network will undertake the first mapping research of youth theatre across Europe, to identify leading venues and practice, creating this new web portal to increase awareness of cross-border opportunities for over 28,500 European youth theatre participants and professionals.

Why The Bees?

The BUZZ Network is all about cross pollinating youth theatre arts. Learning and benefiting from other companies, artists and leaders from across the continent, sharing practice, enhancing diversity and creating brand new work.
